If you are developing applications and use GitLab version control system offered by GCloud platform, this tutorial will help you manage GitLab runners, which can be used for testing your applications, uploaded to GitLab.
To manage GitLab runners and access GitLab, go to "GitLab" from left navigation menu as shown in Img. 1
In Gitlab management screen you can see "Go to Gitlab" button, by which you can access Gitlab web interface. Also, you can click on "Add Runner" button to create and register new runner to your Gitlab account. (see Img. 2)
In GitLab, you can create projects and groups, consequently you can create and register either project runner or group runner. (see Img. 3)
In Gitlab runner creation from provide runner name, select vDataCenter in which it will be created, for project runner select Gitlab project and for group runner select Gitlab group, also choose SSH key to be installed in runner, select runner size and provide GCloud password to register runner in Gitlab account. After submitting the form, you'll get the message that runner build process started. To whatch runner build process, you can go to vDataCenter's details page. (see Img. 5)
After runner build and registration process completes, you'll see registered runner in Gitlab details page as shown in Img. 6
Also, you can verify registered runner in Gitlab web interface. Click on "Go to Gitlab" button on Gitlab details page. In new tab, Gitlab web interface will be opened. Select "GRENA" authentication method as shown in Img. 7 and provide your GCloud credetials.
After successful login, you can access either project or group for which you have registered runner. (see Img. 8)
Then go to Settings -> CI/CD from left navigation menu (see Img. 9)
Then click on "Expand" button at "Runners" section (see Img. 10)
You'll see registered specific runner as shown in Img. 11
