Local networks in virtual DataCenters can be managed from different locations. If you need to just quickly add new local network and then use it during new virtual server creation process, go to "Network" tab inside your vDataCenter and click on "Add Network" button as shown in Img. 1
Fill up all necessary fields, such as network name, subnet address and prefix length as shown in Img. 2 and Img. 3
Note, that if you check "Disable Gateway", it will be impossible to add router to this network and do routing outside of it.
If gateway is not disabled, you can provide IP address from network subnet to be assigned to default gateway's interface, but if IP address is not provided, first IP address from the subnet will be reserved for default gateway.
Next step is to enable DHCP for given network. If DHCP is enable then you can provide IP addresses range to be used for DHCP clients. Note, that you have to exclude from the range default gateway's IP address and all those addresses which you want to preserve for static assignment. (see Img. 4)
Last step is optional, which allows to add host routes to this network. If you leave this field blank, no host routes will be added. (Img. 5)
After submitting the form, new local network will be created as shown in Img 6. You can review all details of created network in "Networks" tab on vDataCenters page.
For further network management and accessing additional network tools go to "Networking" section from leftside navigation menu shown in Img. 7
At Networking section, you can view current network topology for each vDataCenter (see Img. 8) and access specific vDatacenter's networking page by clicking on button with vDataCenter's name shown in mentioned image.
In specific vDataCenter's Networking section you can review existing local networks and their details, also edit and/or delete networks. (Img. 9)
If you need to edit network, click on "Pencil" button alongside subnet address of the network and enter new parameters which you want to update. (see Img. 10)
You can disable or enable default gateway, update default gateway's IP address, enable or disable DHCP on the network and update DHCP parameters.
