Manage Virtual Servers' Security

You can manage virtual server's security in "Security" tab at vDataCenter's page (see Img. 1)

Click on "Add Security Group" to create new security group.

For new security group you just need to provide it's name and optionally description (see Img. 2)

After submitting the form, you will see the message that new security group is created (see Img. 3)

After creating security group, you can add security group rules to it by clicking on "Add Rule" button as shown in Img. 3

Provide description (name) for the rule (Img. 4)

Select direction of the rule, either Ingress or Egress (Img. 5)

Next step is to select the protocol (Img. 6)

You can choose from the provided list: either TCP, UDP, ICMP, ANY or Other (Img. 6)

If you need to provide the protocol not mentioned in the list, you can choose "Other" in protocol field and then provide the number of the protocol in "Protocol Number" field. (Img. 7)

Also you can provide port range, which should be allowed to access the servers. If you need to provide only one port number, just enter the same port number in both "Min Port Number" and "Max Port Number". (Img. 8)

Last step is to provide which network is allowed to access the servers. If you need that any IP address can access the servers, you should provide "0.0.0.0/0" record in this filed. (Img. 9)

After subitting the form you can review added security group rule by clicking on specific security group name as shown in Img. 10
